TITLE: Rage
AUTHORS: Michelle Pace and Tammy Coons
SERIES: Sound Wave Book 2

Steph's photography career has exploded. She's always on location and out of his grasp. Tired of Skype dates and stolen weekends, Phillip makes plans to whisk her off to Ireland so he can pop the question.
When Steph returns to the U.K. for the birth of their friends' baby, Phillip finally gets his chance. He's down on one knee when tragedy strikes. Aching hearts cause tempers to flair chaotically out of control. Phillip feels pushed aside and vanishes. Assumptions and accusations follow, and the public fallout between them becomes the stuff of legend.
When fate brings both Fury and Stephanie to a remote Brazilian paradise, the former lovers have no choice but to face each other head on. Will their wildfire chemistry burn down the wall between them, or will the tumultuous pair simply go up in flames?

This is book 2 in the Sound Wave series, so if you have not read book one, Fury, then I suggest you read that before you consider starting this one. There is also the novella Somethings Come Up which features Steph, from this series, although this one is not vital to the storyline in Rage, it still gives a deeper insight into Steph's character. I have read both and thoroughly enjoyed both.
Steph and Philip meet in book one and Rage is all about how their relationship develops further. Rage begins, exactly where Fury left off. Although, Fury was all about the band and the tour, the main focus for Rage is the relationship between Steph and Philip.
At the beginning Steph and Philip are happy and all loved up. They are both thinking about settling down and taking their relationship to the next level. However, everything unravels and their break up is played out in the media spotlight. They both try to move on, but in doing so they only succeed in hurting the other. Their behaviour only shows that the passion they once shared is still alive. Only now they are too guarded to allow those feelings to come out, thus only adding fuel to the already raging storm that is brewing between them. I felt my heart broke for the two of them for completely different reasons. I also felt the frustration that had me wanting to scream at them to JUST TALK!
I love when a story can make me feel like I am going through all the emotions of the characters, when I can feel the hurt, anguish, frustration, joy, passion, I know I have read something special. I literally felt the hollow, gutted feeling you get when a relationship ends. My heart broke for them both. It was a complete roller coaster of a read from start to finish.
Michelle Pace and Tammy Coons did an excellent job of pulling me in right from the start. I was hooked, anytime I tried to put the book down, I would just think 'I'll finish this chapter' or 'I'll read one more chapter'. Before I knew it, I was finished!
My Rating

Michelle Pace is a registered nurse who resides in Texas with her husband, Les. She is the mother of two lovely daughters, Holly and Bridgette, and one uber-charismatic son, Kai. A former singer and actress, Michelle has always enjoyed entertaining people and is excited to continue to do so as a writer.
Tammy Coons lives in Illinois with her husband Casey and three children Skyler, Sawyer and Savana. Writing has always been a passion for Tammy and she hopes to be able to continue on for as long as her brain and fingers will allow.
